From 26 to 28 October, the 10th International Aggregates Industry Conference was held in Huzhou, Zhejiang.

The conference was held under the theme “Pooling Wisdom for Innovation, Synergizing Resources, Deepening Integration, Growing Steadily.”

Nearly 400 participants attended, including representatives of industry authorities from more than 30 countries and regions, as well as delegates from international industry organizations, research institutes, mining, aggregates production, equipment manufacturing, solid waste recycling, engineering and construction, and investment and financing institutions.

Zhekuang Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. has long specialized in the mining equipment field with industry-leading technical capabilities in China, and over the years has actively built a global presence, earning the trust of customers in many countries and regions around the world.

This time, together with the China Sand-Stone Association and XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., the company co-hosted this international aggregates gathering to join peers at home and abroad in exploring new technical directions, discussing a new industry landscape, building new platforms for collaboration, and sharing new opportunities in globalization.

The conference featured 24 sessions covering the macroeconomic situation and industrial policy, green and low-carbon production, intelligent manufacturing of crushing and screening equipment, and industrial chain extension and international expansion, with Chinese–English simultaneous interpretation provided throughout.

Held alongside the conference were the fourth Standing Council Meeting of the eighth term of the China Sand-Stone Association and a symposium on the development situation of the aggregates and equipment industries.

During the same period, a showcase of technological achievements in aggregates and equipment was held at the conference hotel, with nearly 20 industry companies including Zhekuang taking part.

The GAIN Meeting (Global Aggregates Information Network) was held concurrently — the first time this meeting has taken place in China — and was organized into four modules: industry trends and the economic situation, the latest technologies and AI applications, industry sustainability, and optimizing GAIN's future, working together to advance the high-quality and sustainable development of the global industry.

I.OPENING CEREMONY ADDRESSES AND KEYNOTE REPORTS

As a co-host, Zhekuang took part in multiple segments including the opening ceremony address, the keynote reports and the moderation of the keynote session.

At the opening ceremony, Lin Weimin, General Manager of Zhekuang Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and representative of a vice-presidential member unit of the China Sand-Stone Association, delivered remarks on behalf of the organizers and welcomed delegates from all countries.

He later moderated the keynote session, exchanging views with corporate representatives and aggregates industry delegates from various countries on industrial chain restructuring, full-chain services, green logistics and the US aggregates market.

During the GAIN Meeting, Dr. Zhong Yujun, Chief Data Officer (CDO) of Zhekuang, gave a presentation titled “Evolution of Smart Mine O&M System: Towards Production-Line Level AI-Assisted Management” and interacted with industry representatives from home and abroad, with participants exchanging views on pathways for implementing AI in mining scenarios.

Zhekuang will continue to improve system functions and service capabilities around intelligent mine management, providing mining customers with more complete intelligent solutions.

In the keynote session, Wang Xiaohui, Director of the Company's General Office, delivered a keynote report titled “Empowering R&D and Innovation with Intelligence to Reduce Costs and Improve Efficiency,” introducing the company's technological exploration and industrialization practices in the aggregates and mining equipment field from three dimensions: intelligent empowerment, R&D innovation and value-added services.

II.  INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES VISIT ZHEKUANG

On the first day of the conference, GAIN delegates visited Zhekuang to gain firsthand understanding of the company's capabilities in crushing and screening equipment manufacturing, process design and system integration, and attended a welcome dinner hosted by the company.

Participants exchanged views on changes in aggregates supply and demand across markets, process selection for hard rock crushing, and equipment operation and maintenance support, in a lively on-site atmosphere.

III.  VISITING A ZHEKUANG PRODUCTION LINE PROJECT

On the day after the conference closed, the Zhekuang team accompanied the GAIN delegation to Guangde City, Anhui Province, to visit the production line of Guangde Guotou Building Materials Co., Ltd.

The project uses pebbles to produce manufactured sand with an hourly capacity of 1,200 tons, and the crushing, sand making and screening stages all adopt Zhekuang equipment and process solutions.

The Zhekuang team introduced the delegation to the technical processes, design solutions and equipment advantages of a domestic aggregates production line.

As industry standards and codes differ from market to market, the on-site discussion was lively.

CONTINUING TO ADVANCE GLOBAL SERVICE CAPABILITY

The guests gathered at this international aggregates conference and the GAIN Meeting roundtable included aggregates industry and corporate representatives from more than 30 countries across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia.

As a global information exchange conference for the aggregates industry, the event not only established sound and effective communication channels between China and countries around the world, but also provided a better information exchange platform for Chinese mining equipment manufacturers going global.

In the future, Zhekuang will continue to strengthen cooperation and exchange with the aggregates and mining industries in all regions of the world, keep advancing its capabilities in equipment manufacturing, intelligent operations and full-lifecycle services, deepen exchanges and cooperation with industry organizations and mining enterprises at home and abroad, and provide integrated green and intelligent services to the global mining industry.
